SUTD and University of California sign MOU on Academic Exchange to Deepen Collaboration

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic exchange with The Regents of the University of California (UC). The signing ceremony was held at SUTD on Monday, 18 February 2019.

Under the MOU, both universities will explore activities to further the exchange of faculty, researchers and students, as well as partner on research-related activities. Collaboration efforts will focus on areas including air/water quality, climate change, energy and sustainability, global food challenges, health and treatment of infectious diseases, and sustainable transportation innovations.

At present, SUTD has on-going collaborations with UC Berkeley, UC Irvine and UC Berkeley Extension for summer exchange programmes as well as the SUTD Technology Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP). With the MOU, SUTD students can now look forward to more destinations for their overseas opportunities.
