Congratulations to Assistant Professor Leo Chen Huei’s graduate student in winning the best oral presentation award
Assistant Professor Liu Xiaogang together with Assistant Professor Leo Chen Huei’s PhD student, Shanmugham Meyammai, presented their research work titled “Time Dependent Activation of TMAO Induced Apoptosis and Inflammation on Human Microvascular Endothelial Cells” in the Monash-INITIATE 2022 online conference. The research work was done under the supervision of Assistant Professor Leo Chen Huei.
Mey’s abstract was selected for oral presentation, and she won the Third Prize of the Best Oral Presentation Award, Monash Initiate 2022. Congratulations!

Dr. Massimiliano Colla and his Team Awarded the Winner of Global Challenge Lab (GCL) 2022
Congratulations to Dr Massimiliano Colla and his project team, Team EverGreen with e-Parali, who won first place at the Global Challenge Lab 2022, hosted by Imperial College London.
This virtual entrepreneurship program brings together students and recent university graduates from across the world to form international teams that generate solutions to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This year’s event focused on Goal 13, Climate Action.

Assistant Professor Liu Xiaogang Featured on Society of Chemical Industry
The July-August issue of Society of Chemical Industry did a feature on the counterfeiting industry. The article included case studies of research done by EPD Associate Prof Joel Yang on tiny QR codes and SMT Assistant Prof Liu Xiaogang’s research on phosphorescence for security inks.
