Elevation to IEEE Fellow
SMT Cluster would like to extend its warmest congratulations to Professor Lay Kee (or Ricky) Ang, for his selection to be IEEE Fellow (class of 2022), effective 1 January 2022 with the citation: “for contributions to electron emission and space charge effects in nanodiode and quantum materials”. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. The IEEE Fellow is IEEE’s highest honor reserved for IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any IEEE fields of interest. Each year, following a rigorous evaluation procedure, the IEEE Fellow Committee recommends a highly selective group of recipients (less than 0.1% of its members) to be IEEE Fellows.
