Scam alert notice

We have been informed of an e-mail spoofing scam impersonating SUTD’s domain name to vendors.

The scam e-mail is usually sent in the form of an enquiry for quotes and may also contain a fake Purchase Order (PO) with SUTD’s name, address and a logo that closely resembles SUTD logo, with the instruction to deliver the items to a location (e.g. private residence, freight forwarding companies, 3rd party warehouse or a self-storage facility) different from SUTD’s registered business address (i.e. 8 Somapah Road, Singapore 487372) and to bill SUTD.

Please note that vendors must first be registered with SUTD in its online Ariba portal in order to receive POs from SUTD. It is NOT our practice to e-mail vendors to make an order for goods with a PO without first registering the vendor with SUTD. SUTD would like to remind all vendors to stay vigilant and only to perform transactions with SUTD through the SUTD’s official Ariba portal.

If you receive any dubious email bearing what appears to be SUTD’s domain name making a purchasing enquiry or order, kindly seek immediate clarification with SUTD Procurement via email at sutdprocurement@sutd.edu.sg.
