Must I follow the sequence of the modules to complete the ModularMaster programme?
You do not have to follow a specific sequence for majority of the modules in order to complete the ModularMaster Certificate Programme. You can take individual modules at your own pace. However, the programme must be completed within a 2-year candidature period. To earn the ModularMaster Certificate, all required modules under the specific domain must be completed within this timeframe.
Is the ModularMaster a Master’s degree?
No, the ModularMaster programme is not a Master’s degree. It is a unique micro-credential initiative that offers a suite of short, modular professional development courses. Participants can choose to take individual modules separately, stack them towards a Graduate Certificate, or pursue the full ModularMaster (MM) Certificate.
Can I use my SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) to offset the course fees?
Effective 1 May 2024, a S$4,000 SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up will be available to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for specific courses aimed at improving employability. Currently, at SUTD Academy, this top-up is applicable solely to programmes within the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP).
Can anyone enroll in a ModularMaster Certificate Programme?
Modules are open to the public. Due to their technical nature, participants are expected to have basic scientific or technical knowledge, or relevant work experience.
How does the ModularMaster Certificate Programme work?
The ModularMaster Certificate Programme requires participants to earn 72 Subject Credits, which differ from the academic credits in traditional degree programmes. Offering multiple flexible approaches, this programme is tailored to accommodate busy adult learners, enabling them to balance work, family, and education by selecting options that fit their schedules and goals.
