SM Jaleel Foundation – SUTD Bursary Award
The SM Jaleel Foundation – SUTD Bursary Award is established to provide financial assistance to deserving undergraduates pursuing their studies at SUTD.
Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate students with preference given to students pursuing the Design and Artificial Intelligence degree programme and enrolled in their third and fourth year of study at the University;
- Open to students who are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents;
- The student must not be a recipient of the SM Jaleel Foundation – Mendaki Scholarship or any other similar educational awards offered by the Donor;
- The student must be of good moral character and community spirit; and
- The student has demonstrated financial need (per capita income of S$2,500 per month or less, or the prevailing upper limit for monthly household per capita income as specified from time to time by the Ministry of Education for the eligibility criteria for the Higher Education Bursary).
Tenure
- Each Bursary Award is tenable for one (1) academic year only
- Recipients may reapply in his/her subsequent year of studies, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria
Benefits of Award
- S$7,500 per annum
- Each bursary award shall be applied towards the payment of the recipient’s subsidised tuition fees
- No bond attached
Things to Note
Bursary recipients must take up the Tuition Fee Grant Subsidy by the Singapore Government.
