InspireCon 2025

Get ready to be inspired
Experience the power of student innovation and design at InspireCon 2025, where the best of our Capstone (graduating class of 2025), Baby Shark Fund, and Engineering Product Development (EPD) projects will be showcased.
Guest of honour: President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, SUTD Chancellor
With over 80 projects on display, come discover how some of these innovations can:
- revolutionise anatomy education in medical schools – an interactive model that transforms passive study into an immersive experience
- enable safe aerodrome runway inspections without compromising accuracy and speed – an autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) with a tethered Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) designed for operations in restricted no-fly zones
- create a smarter, more sustainable shopping experience – an AI-powered tool for online apparel businesses that can accurately obtain user measurements and recommend the perfect apparel fit
- empower and assist architects or designers in designing for inclusivity – a tool that combines spatial analysis with AI-driven evaluations to provide intuitive, visual, and quantifiable feedback during the design process
- lower the barrier and encourage electric vehicle (EV) conversion for classic cars – a cost-effective, pre-assembled EV conversion kit designed for easy installation by trained mechanics or even DIY enthusiasts
- play a role in helping nurses manage fall-risk patients by integrating a hidden mechanism within a wall art installation, in a fusion of aesthetics and technology
Capstone
The industry-based Capstone Design project is the culmination of four years of hands-on, cohort-based interdisciplinary learning, allowing our final-year students the opportunity to apply all they have learnt to solve real-world challenges faced by companies.
Baby Shark Fund
Innovation lies at the crossroads of novelty and usefulness. It is around us and in everything we do. Big or small, SUTD is always looking to support innovation at every level, regardless of where these ideas come from.
That is why the Baby Shark Fund was introduced – to provide our students with the opportunity to engage in ground-up initiatives that stem from observations made in their daily lives. It is a platform that empowers them to experiment, validate, build, and deploy their ideas in real life.
Engineering Product Development (EPD)
EPD is one of our five degree programmes at SUTD. Our Term 5 (junior) and Term 7 (senior) students will share how they combine technology with human-centred design to develop solutions that boost productivity, health, and comfort, to address challenges in the area of human enhancement.
INNOVATION BEYOND IMAGINATION
Come explore and learn how SUTD students leverage design thinking, artificial intelligence, and technology to understand and solve real-world challenges. Let the innovations show you how we expand the possibilities of trailblazing a better world by design.
Admission is free.
