Last weekend, the Design Singapore Council held its DesignSingapore Council Scholarship Awards Ceremony. This year, five outstanding design talents received the scholarship and will be going overseas to pursue their bachelor and master degrees.

One of the award recipients is Jonathan Ng from the Singapore University of Technology and Design. In 2016, he was inspired by origami art to design an environmentally-friendly storage tank and won the IKEA Singapore Young Designer Award. He will be going to Harvard University to pursue a Master in Architecture.
