To investigate how housing neighbourhood outdoor design can support the needs of persons with dementia (PWDs), perceptions and needs of PWDs will be collected in this study to test the validity of 10 hypothesised characteristics of a dementia-friendly neighbourhood, with the aim of developing detailed design guidelines which can be used as Environment Assessment Tool (EAT) for outdoor environment of dementia-friendly neighbourhood, especially for high-density public housing context in Singapore.
