Proposals for a sustainable utilization and conversion of a former British military tank training area were to be developed. The ‘complex‘ was conceived as building typology – similar a farm’s embedding within landscape. 7 Complexes find their identity by directly connecting to specific contexts: forest, alley, crossing, width, row, clearing and slope. With its distinct typology and its relations to the stunning landscape features the ‘complex’ gives the prospective client first of all a substantial image of its architecture. But it is also a flexible negotiation tool for the integration of the client‘s needs and ideas.
