Participation Evaluation in Design with the Developing World: PartE

PartE is a collaborative research initiative which aims to support participatory design, especially in projects that target social change. PartE is building a base of researchers, designers, NGOs, social entrepreneurs, government agencies etc. from Singapore, South East Asia, South Africa and Europe to contribute to an ongoing collective dialogue about the meaning of participation and social change. Experiences are shared and contested among researchers and through this dialogue genuinely inclusive practices to design are negotiated and enacted. In so doing, PartE intends to transform the way design for social change is understood, practiced and taught in the future.
