Part of the ModularMaster in Cybersecurity programme
This hands‐on lab will introduce students to state-of-the-art commercial and open-source tools for a variety of security-related tasks:
- Cybersecurity lab part 1 (Encryption, Hashing)
- Cybersecurity lab part 2 (SQL Injection, Cross Site Scripting, Metasploit)
- Secure networks lab (Ettercap, Mininet, HPKP, HSTS, SDN Switches)
- Machine Learning lab (Use of tools such as Excel DA, Weka, Tableau in machine learning. Use of R language and python to do RNN, MLP, Decision tree)

This course can be taken as a module on its own or as part of the Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Tools and Forensics stack and participants will earn 12 subject credits which can also be used towards completing the ModularMaster in Cybersecurity.

- O-Level Mathematics
- Generic Skills Competency (GSC) for Digital Literacy at Intermediate Level: Use available software features to create and edit documents, customise templates and reports and evaluate online information.
