Part of the ModularMaster in Cybersecurity programme

This course covers the security of users, individual computer systems, including personal computers, smart cards and embedded platforms.

  2. Security of widely used computer platforms and user authentication
  3. Physical-layer attacks and tamper resistant hardware
  4. Biometrics, computer forensics, and Bitcoin

This course can be taken as a module on its own or as part of the Graduate Certificate in Systems and Networking Security stack and participants will earn 12 subject credits which can also be used towards completing the ModularMaster in Cybersecurity.

Prerequisites

  • ‘O’ Level Mathematics;
  • Generic Skills Competency (GSC) for Digital Literacy at Intermediate Level: Use available software features to create and edit documents, customise templates and reports and evaluate online information;
  • Programming knowledge in Python will be particularly useful
