Dr. Anariba joined the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) in 2012 and has since taught undergraduate courses in Chemistry, Sustainability, Mathematics, and Design thinking, as well as graduate courses in Current Science and Scientific Communication. Currently, Dr. Anariba holds the designation of Senior Lecturer in the Science, Mathematics, and Technology (SMT) cluster, affiliated with Engineering Product Development (EPD) pillar.
He obtained his B.A in Chemistry at Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA, a M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Molecular Electronics at The Ohio State University, Ohio, USA, and post-doctoral studies in Molecular Memory Devices at the University of California, Riverside, USA. He also contributed as a research scientist at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN, Singapore) where he worked on integrating microfabrication techniques amenable to surface chemistry modification processes, bioimaging, and localized surface Plasmon resonance for DNA amplification.
His current research interests are Transdisciplinary Education, Design Thinking, Project-based Learning (PBL) in the education realm, and Novel Materials and its Applications in the research realm.
