By the end of this course, learners can expect to:

  • Describe the Double Diamond Design Thinking Framework
  • Apply Design Thinking tools and methods to bring innovation into their courses/curriculum
  • Ideate, prototype, re-iterate and deliver from a design brief
  • Know more about different views on and the components of design competencies
  • Know more about DesCA framework for identifying design competencies that can be incorporated into their courses
  • Know more about tools and methods to facilitate teaching, learning, and assessment of these identified competencies

  • Micro DI (Designing a designette)
  • The Electrochemistry Designette (Hands-on Activity)
  • Quiz
  • Understanding technical skills and competencies
  • Map the Electrochemistry Designette to  technical skills and competencies
  • Design and develop assessment rubrics for design projects
