Lee Chee Huei

Currently holding the designation of Senior Lecturer for the Science, Mathematics and Technology (SMT) cluster in SUTD, Chee Huei received his PhD (Physics) from Michigan Technological University in 2010 and MSc (Applied Physics) from University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2004. Prior to joining SUTD, Chee Huei worked as a postdoctoral research scholar at Michigan Tech. (December 2010 – October 2011) and Case Western Reserve University (November 2011 – December 2012).
Chee Huei joined SUTD in 2013. He has been involved in multiple pedagogical developments, especially technology-enabled teaching and learning. He has been experimenting with smart home IoT devices for more than 4 years. With this experience, he developed various IoT based hands-on activities and conducted basic IoT workshops for students. He also created several undergraduate research projects for students to explore applications of IoT technology.
Kwan Wei Lek

Wei Lek is currently a Senior Lecturer for the Science, Mathematics and Technology (SMT) cluster in SUTD where he concurrently holds the designations of Associate Head of Cluster for SMT and Deputy Programme Director of campusX. He received his PhD degree at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before joining SUTD, Wei Lek was a lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic for 7 years and an adjunct faculty at the Singapore Institute of Technology.
Wei Lek is an experienced educator in the field of IoT and product design. His teaching methods involve hands-on learning experiences where students can gain practical skills in designing and implementing IoT devices. Wei Lek is also an advocate for sustainable energy solutions and has deployed an IoT system in Thailand to measure the performance of a solar-powered lighting system, which demonstrates his dedication to using IoT for positive environmental impact.
