Day 1
- Introduction to the module and faculty, programme flow and pre-assignments
- Project instructions, project briefing and assignment of groups
- Identification of personal learning goals of the current module set by oneself
- Understand the current trends and the near future of digital security
- Understand digital security risks and opportunities
- Group work
Day 2
- Introduction to the methods of digital security
- Learn to use preparedness model
- Developing digital security practice
- Hands-on exercise
Day 3
- Cybersecurity controls and threat management
- Cybersecurity standards and best practices
- Singapore cybersecurity laws and regulations
- Trustworthy system access and control
- Enterprise cybersecurity – architectural basis
Day 4
- Trustworthy system access and control
- Enterprise cybersecurity – architectural basis
- Enterprise cybersecurity – protocols and technologies (secure web and sockets, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, VPN, IPsec, etc)
Day 5
- Project presentation
Assessment
Multiple methods of assessment are used to provide an opportunity for the participants to demonstrate their learning results with a variety of learning styles.
These include:
- Pre-assignment due before in-class session
- Class contribution
- In-class assignments (group work and presentations during the module)
- Take-home assignment due after in-class session
Subject Credits
Upon completion and satisfying the requirements of passing this course, learners will be awarded 12 subject credits.
