Modules
1. Foundation of Data Science
Foundation of Data Science is a practical course which will provide participants with the fundamental knowledge, skills and abilities to extract, transform, analyse and model data.
This programme provides an overview of data science and machine learning. Participants will learn through hands-on practices to prepare data for analysis, develop testing methods for statistical models, operationalise machine learning models and identify and communicate business insights to both technical and non-technical audience.
Dates (SCTP Class):

This course will be leveraging real business data and examples to illustrate the application of data storytelling and visualisation tools. Students are expected to work in groups to complete a case study using either Tableau or PowerBI, demonstrating the application of data storytelling skills for their final project.
Dates (SCTP Class):
(18, 25) August, (1, 8, 15, 22) September 2025
3. Relational Database Management Systems
In this course, participants will learn to access and communicate with databases using RDBMS tools over the first four days. Participants will be equipped with the skills necessary to store a large structural dataset within an RDBMS tool which enables them to efficiently prepare the dataset for data analysis. The last day will be allocated for a project where participants are given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.
Dates (SCTP Class):
(26) September, (3, 10, 17, 24, 31) October 2025
