Will all applicants be interviewed?

Only shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by SUTD for the admission into the Bachelor programme and Duke-NUS for the conditional admission into the MD programme.


Can I withdraw from the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track during the course of my undergraduate studies?
Although you are not required to make a binding commitment to Duke-NUS at the time of admission, you should inform SUTD and Duke-NUS of your withdrawal from the track at least the year preceding medical school matriculation. You can still continue with SUTD’s normal undergraduate degree programme should you discontinue with the track, subject to meeting the academic requirements for the undergraduate programme.

I have been accepted into the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track but I do not wish to take up the scholarship/receive a scholarship from an external organisation. Can I still enrol in this programme?
You can still enrol in this special track. You will need to inform SUTD of your intention not to take up the scholarship.

Are scholarships available for this programme?

Outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, special talents, good moral character and strong community spirit will be considered for scholarships for the undergraduate programme.

 

You may apply for scholarships for the graduate programme before the programme at Duke-NUS commences.


I intend to self-finance my studies if I am accepted into the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track. What will be the tuition fees?
The annual tuition fees for the undergraduate programme and MD programme will be pegged to the respective prevailing fees charged by – SUTD – Duke-NUS

What majors can I pursue in the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track?

Students in the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track can choose from the following five majors:

  • Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD)
  • Computer Science and Design (CSD)
  • Design and Artificial Intelligence (DAI)
  • Engineering Product Development (EPD)
  • Engineering Systems and Design (ESD)

 

Note: Students pursuing the ASD major will commence the Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme at Duke-NUS after completing the 4-year bachelor’s degree and will not include the Master of Architecture programme. Students who have previously received MOE subsidy for a graduate programme will not be eligible for MOE subsidy in another graduate programme at the same or lower level.


What is the duration of the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track?
The duration of the undergraduate programme is 8 terms and the graduate programme is 4 years. Each new cohort begins the programme in SUTD in September of every year.

Can I apply to the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track if I have a reserved place at SUTD?

Yes, students with a reserved place at SUTD from previous admissions exercises can apply to the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track. However, you can only choose one special programme:

  • SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track;
  • SUTD Honours And Research Programme (SHARP);
  • SUTD Technology Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP); or
  • SUTD-Tianjin Eco-City (SUTD-TEC) Programme

 

Students who are in other special programmes (apart from the SUTD-Duke-NUS Special Track) and are interested in pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Duke-NUS Medical School can still apply to Duke-NUS after graduating from SUTD.


Where will the interviews be conducted?
The interviews will be conducted at SUTD campus and Duke-NUS campus accordingly.

Can males serving Singapore national service apply? Will places be reserved for NSF for post-NS admission?
Yes. NSF can apply and places will be reserved for successful applicants who have accepted the offer.
