Generally, if you are passionate about addressing social inequality, you can join the Create4Good Innovation Fund. Should you have any other ideas, you can check out ARISE or the Entrepreneurship Capstone for final year students. Start Something is a good introductory programme if you are still unsure of what you want to do.

Where can I find technologies that I can potentially license?

At SUTD, students are encouraged to participate in a myriad of activities to broaden their horizons and experiences. If there is a need, we can help you publicise employment opportunities through our channels and network. Through participating in our programmes, you will also have the opportunity to meet with SUTD students and alumni.

We have a range of programmes and incubation-exclusive events that are open to all incubatees. Incubatees can also tap on our network of mentors, industry experts and investors. We have heard that the number-one-most-beneficial resource is the network access and guidance that we provide to our incubatees, which have considerably shaped and driven their start-up development.

Are there any conditions to spending?

Yes, grants are subject to funding guidelines set by respective grant agencies and benefactors to ensure that they are properly utilised. Please contact us at entrepreneurship@sutd.edu.sg to find out about what is fundable and what is not.


What kind of outcomes do I have to achieve with the grant?

No two ideas are the same. Progress milestones and outcomes are tailored for each project. We have seen the most success with teams that had successfully developed a proof-of-concept or working prototype coupled with a validated business model.


What kind of support can I receive?

We support aspiring founders with a range of incubation support from mentors, industry experts, dedicated venture partners, networking opportunities and introductions to potential investors.


What type of projects have been awarded the grants?

Our grant projects are generally industry agnostic. Most of them are technology-based, knowledge-based or innovation-based.
