HeoTeng
Our game, HeoTeng, aims to showcase the space allocation and customer scheduling problems faced by karaoke business owners and staff members, highlighting concepts of opportunity costs, optimisation and queueing. We split our game into two tasks: Room Allocation and Customer Scheduling. In the first task, players get to choose among three choices of room combinations, consisting of small, medium, and large rooms. They will then proceed to the second task of assigning different incoming customer groups to suitable vacant rooms, thereby earning revenue and incurring opportunity costs for sales/customers lost. Through HeoTeng, we aspire to highlight the pragmatic considerations that different stakeholders face when opening a new karaoke shop outlet and dealing with its daily operations.
