After the pandemic surge, comes the travelers surge. Since the re-opening of airline activities, the number of fliers daily has been more volatile than ever – and so does the need for in-flight amenities, including in-flight meals. As a passenger, you would want to be reassured you get your portion, and for your meal to be as fresh as it can be.
You act as the management team for this in-flight meal producer, aiming to maximize daily profit from the sales of your product. To do this, you are required to find the optimum production quantity according to the day’s demand, as well as how many productions line to activate for that day. This way, you will minimize overage and backorder cost incurred. By the end of the 5 simulated days, compete with other management teams (your peers) on how well you do!
