Lee Cheng graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science and Information Systems). Prior to joining SUTD, she was a consultant with Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, managing Infocomm Technology (ICT) systems at various government agencies before taking time off for a few years to focus on her family.

During her leisure time, she enjoys working with her hands such as baking and making craft projects.
