Koh Eng Fei is currently a PhD student in Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), under the supervision of Assistant Professor Jin Murakami. Having practiced architecture locally for the past 15 years, she hopes to carry over the ethics of good design into the discipline of urban science, that all data revolution first needs to be relevant and contextual in order to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Hence, her recent thesis for Master of Urban Science, Policy and Planning was on exploring excess commuting, a topic that resonates with majority of commuting crowd in Singapore.
