Problem Statements
A unique set of problem statements contributed by our partners are released for each run/cohort. These problem statements are grouped into 4 categories, namely Sustainability, Safety & Accessibility, Quality of Life and Elderly Care.

Sandbox Project: Student teams work on hands-on projects addressing community challenges and applying learned skillsets |
13 Jul, 27 Jul, 17 Aug | Check-in days: Meet with and ask questions to your SUTD mentors, professional Design Innovators, and fabrication experts. |
7 Sep | Demo Day 1: Student teams pitch projects to peers, community leaders, and industry partners |
Stage 2: Full STEAM
Prerequisite: Students must complete Stage 1: Burst of STEAM to apply for Stage 2: Full STEAM. The application process for Full STEAM will be communicated to students participating in Burst of STEAM. |

13 – 14 Nov | Kickoff 2: Team bonding, field trip to dive deeper into community issues and initial check-in |
15 Nov – 24 Jan (Student team-driven) |
Real-world Project: Student teams work on real-world projects addressing “problems worth solving” in the community by applying the skills they have learnt. They will work with community partners to create implementable solutions |
30 Nov | Community Partner Co-creation: Student teams and community partners brainstorm and co-create solutions together. |
20 Oct, 3 Jan | Check-in days: Sessions with facilitators for feedback and guidance |
30 Nov, 7 Dec | Demo Day 2: Student teams will pitch projects to peers, community leaders, and industry partners. |
