Congratulations to student Tan Nguyen Long for winning Best Innovation Award and for Third Place for Asia-Pacific Exchange in the InnoServe Awards 2021 – Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD)
We are proud to share that our student project team, CyberFence (the same team that won the SCS Splash 2021 awards), continued to win more awards. On 13 Nov 2021, student Tan Nguyen Long led CyberFence to win the Best Innovation Award and Third place for Asia-Pacific Exchange in the InnoServe Awards 2021. Remarkably, CyberFence had been nominated to represent Singapore and was in fact the only team representing Singapore in this competition. The two other members of the CyberFence team are Yuchen, a Freshmore student at SUTD and Rosie, who is a graduate student in US. They were mentored by our faculty Dr. Matthieu and Dr. Natalie for this competition. YouTube video of the online ceremony is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l15CrxGeb9E
Entering its 26th the International ICT Innovative Services Awards (InnoServe Awards) is an annual ICT application competition held for university and college students. In 2004, the Chinese Society for Information Management, in collaboration with Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs, Computer Center of Ministry of Education, and the Taipei Computer Association expanded the scale of the contest to become the largest and the most significant contest of its kind in Taiwan.
The objective of the InnoServe Awards is to provide a platform for students to present their information management projects as part of their graduation requirements; while at the same time, promoting academic-industry collaboration by integrating academic training and practical experience.
