Synopsis

In this session, Ms Irene Boey will share insights on how educational data can help educators make better data-driven decisions to improve teaching practices and implement remediation plans. Educational data extends beyond assessment and grading data to various other type of data that is available about students and their learning journey. Correlating and making sense the massive amount of educational data can be very time consuming and overwhelming for faculty. At the same time, much of the available educational data may not be exploited and hence gone wasted. Irene shares with us how faculty can now automatically make sense of the big data, discover the different factors influencing student weaknesses as well as how these factors impact their future learning through the power of data analytics. So, join us to learn how to harness the power of data analytics to improve teaching and learning.
