Biography

Agnes studied in Warsaw, Poland with focus on Theoretical Physics. After she had two postdocs in Singapore at Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore working on cold atoms in optical lattices and at Nanyang Technological University working on quantum biology problem of magnetoreception in birds and cockroaches. Then she moved to Monash University, Melbourne Australia for a Teaching Associate position followed up by a Lecturer position at the Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia.

Research Interest

Agnes’ position is teaching focused, with emphasis on teaching Physics and Maths. Research wise Agnes is interested in quantum computing with noisy systems.

  • Ig-Nobel prize in Biology in 2019 for the paper on magnetoreception in American cockroach.
