Message from the Academic Programme Director
We are thrilled to present our master’s degree programme in Human-Centred Design – an innovative pathway to mastering the convergence between technologies and humanity. As our everyday life is transformed by technology, demand grows for insights into the interface between technologies and human culture, society, and behaviour. Human-centred design is a rapidly growing professional field. The increasing prevalence of e-commerce and online businesses further amplifies the demand for skilled user interface (UI)/user experience (UX) designers globally.
The MTD (Human-Centred Design) programme empowers students to shape technological experiences that are not only cutting-edge, but also deeply intuitive and user-centric. Drawing on the unique expertise of SUTD’s Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) cluster and the broader SUTD design thinking teaching methodology, you will have meaningful experiential learning in human-centred research methods, design thinking, business management acumen, and digital skills.
Our mission is to produce graduates who will flourish as human experts in the technology world.
