Alex Tan is the Regional Chief Information Officer, Asia Pacific and Board Director, Global Shared Services of DB Schenker since Sep 2011. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of E-solutions, technology strategy and IT management for 20 countries across APAC region to enable a significant number of the world’s top supply chains to achieve operational excellence and mastery of their global supply chains. Alex is a member of the APAC Management Board, Corporate IT Council and a Director of Global Schenker Shared Services (Nanjing, China).

Prior to DB Schenker, Alex held senior IT leadership roles with PacNet, Energy Market Company, OCBC Bank, CitiGroup Asia Pacific Technology. He started his career with the National Computer Board in Singapore. He also serves on the Advisory Boards for National University of Singapore (School of Computing), Singapore University of Technology and Design (ISTD) and Republic Polytechnic (School of InfoComm).

Alex graduated from the RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia with a degree in Business IT (awarded with distinction) and an MBA degree from the same university. He is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID). Alex is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Computing.
