Introduction to VLSI: Technology and Design 3
Biomedical Electronics Design 3

Advanced manufacturing (track)

Under this Track, students will learn more about the integral aspects of IC production quality and reliability management. This includes reliability and failure analysis, failure mechanisms and packaging reliability.

Module Credits
Nanoscale Design 3
VLSI Forensics 3
Field-Effect Semiconductor Devices 3

IC design (track)

Under this Track, students will learn more about the tools, software and processes required to conduct analysis, design and
develop a wide variety of ICs (analog, digital, radio frequency, mixed signal).

Module Credits
Computing Electronics Design 3
Analogue Integrated Circuit Design 3
VLSI Testing and Testable Design 3
Mixed Signal Systems by Design 3

Semiconductor device manufacturing (track)

Under this Track, students will learn more about the physical concepts, characterisation, and manufacturing techniques of basic semiconductor components. At the same time, these courses provide a foundation for students to develop research related to semiconductors, semiconductor manufacturing, and integrated circuits.

Module Credits
Physics and Characterization of Semiconductor Devices 3
Semiconductor Manufacturing 3
Semiconductor Device Fabrication and Development Practice 3

Thesis work

A total of 6 thesis credits are required to meet graduation criteria.

Credits are granted after passing the degree examination and submitting the approved thesis.

9 months at SUTD

At SUTD, students will spend the next 9 months completing a Master thesis and research project (design implementation, fabrication, testing and assembly) which will incorporate the technical knowledge gained at CGU.

This Master thesis will be subject to an Oral Defense, where students will defend your research against professional critique by a board consisting of SUTD faculty and external faculty/industry experts.

Students are also required to complete at least 2 Professional Short Development Courses to gain industry-relevant knowledge to round up your holistic education.
