The Master of Science in Technology and Design (HealthTech Innovation) programme is dedicated to its mission of preparing students with a diverse skillset and competence that cuts across various disciplines. By equipping students with the capabilities to leverage technology and design principles, the programme aims to facilitate revolutionary progress within the healthcare industry.

 

The goal of this Master programme is to empower students with the knowledge and tools required to:

  • understand and apply advanced technologies to solve complex healthcare challenges;
  • apply design principles to create user-centric and effective healthcare technology, products and/or services; and
  • learn how to design and develop innovative solutions that address real-world healthcare problems, contributing to transformative advancements in the critical field of healthcare.

 

 

 

Programme Structure

The MTD (HealthTech Innovation) programme consists of three trimesters which spans over one year. It covers healthcare topics such as the healthcare ecosystem and biomedical physiology; and healthcare technology topics, including additive manufacturing of healthcare products, biomedical instrumentation, and data science for healthcare.

 

A valuable aspect of this programme is the inclusion of hands-on healthcare innovation projects and immersion trips to major local hospitals. These opportunities offer students practical experience and real-world exposure, which is essential for preparing them for careers in healthcare and technology.
