About Us

The Centre for Healthcare Education, Entrepreneurship and Research @ SUTD (CHEERS) was established to attract quality students who are interested in contributing to the healthcare industry to join SUTD’s undergraduate programme, and to establish collaborations with the healthcare industry and like-minded universities to grow the healthcare programmes in SUTD so as to create an impact for Singapore and beyond.

Vision

• To establish collaborations with healthcare industry and like-minded universities (e.g. SUTD-DUKE-NUS collaboration) to advance healthcare education
• To promote innovation and entrepreneurship in healthcare
• To achieve cutting-edge healthcare research in wellness, independency, and empowerment

Goals

• Consolidate all SUTD efforts in the healthcare sector
• Establish CHEERS as a common place for all aspects of healthcare that are related to education, entrepreneurship (including research translation) and research​​
• Be aligned with SUTD’s Growth Plan and to establish a vibrant community enabled by healthcare innovation in the eastern corridor
