Biography
Tianruo obtained his Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree from Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) in 2021. During his M.Eng. studies, he spent 2 years at the Fluorescence Research Group in Science Mathematics and Technology cluster. His research was committed to the investigation on the structure-property relationships of isomeric fluorophores. Since he joined SUTD in 2019, he has been the graduate teaching assistant in various courses for the freshmore undergraduates.
He continues to pursue his doctoral studies in SUTD from September 2021. He hopes to develop more functional dyes with excellent performance and generalizable applications via the combination of computational methods and experiments. He is also interested in the development of pedagogical tools based on the fluorescent chemistry in chemical education.
