When should I start reaching out?
Anytime from the point when your startup is deciding or not whether or not to fundraise, feel free to reach out to us at entrepreneurship@sutd.edu.sg!
At what stage should my start-up be, to qualify for this investment?
We invest in start-ups from the pre-seed stage all the way to Series rounds. If your startup is at a stage that is ready to scale beyond proof of concept and requires external funding to do so, do come and talk to us at entrepreneurship@sutd.edu.sg.
Are there any restrictions on the type of startups?
Startups should not have a proposed business idea that falls under the list provided below:
Cafes, restaurants, night clubs, lounges, bars, foot reflexology, massage parlours, gambling, prostitution, social escort services, employment agencies (including recruiting foreign work permit holders and workers/support staff, relocation services, and manpower services), and geomancy.
Am I eligible if I'm not from SUTD?

What can I expect to gain upon completion?
On top of the newly gained knowledge, inspiration and relationships built with like-minded participants, you can expect to gain better clarity on how to proceed with your idea.
What kind of support and resources are available over the program duration?
StartSomething:
- Bite-sized workshops to get you started with the essentials of starting up.
- Mentorship or consultations are available upon request.
I am not sure if I am ready for this programme.
Our programmes are friendly for all participants and we are excited to witness your development, so you do not have to worry! This is our most introductory programme that is the least demanding in terms of time, knowledge and effort.
How long does this programme last, and what does the commitment look like?
Typically 3 half-day sessions. You will be guided through in-class discussions and assignments.
As our programmes are designed to take you from zero-to-one in the most efficient way, we encourage you to follow through the full course of the programme. We understand if you have one-off commitments which might affect your attendance, but do make time if you are signing up.
Will I get modular credits for attending this programme?
Yes, you will be accorded credits for programmes that are part of academic requirements in line with the guidelines of the Office of Education.
What can I expect to gain upon completion?
