About ISTD
By blending technical expertise with interdisciplinary design, the ISTD pillar empowers you to build a solid foundation in computing while fostering creativity to solve complex problems across diverse fields.
Initiatives
Shaping the future of computer science together
At ISTD, we aim to groom graduates who are drivers of the future’s digital development. We work with industry to create engaging platforms to connect and collaborate with our pool of talents. At the same time, we cultivate youth interest and introduce them to the transformative power of computing through a variety of interactive learning activities.
Industry collaborations
From seminars and donations to real-life projects, there are many ways for organisations to collaborate with our students and faculty.
Student outreach
Our ISTD Outreach Programme provides workshops and more, for students to collaborate and apply their abilities to real-world challenges.
Academic facilities
Turning theory into practice
At SUTD, our labs empower students to push boundaries and apply classroom knowledge to real-world problems. These hands-on spaces foster creativity, experimentation, and the development of next-generation technologies.
DS Lab
The Digital Systems (DS) Laboratory supports hardware-related courses in the ISTD curriculum, equipped with Multisim and FPGA boards for designing electronic circuits.
LEET Lab
The Learning Environment for Experimental Technology (LEET) Lab provides a secure, isolated network where students can freely practice hacking techniques, conduct experiments, and apply skills from their cybersecurity courses.
i3 Lab
The Intelligence, Innovation and Interconnection (i3) lab is the ideal venue for hosting industry partners and students on their learning journeys, with GPU workstations to support projects and computing workshops.
