Networked and Autonomous Systems

Computing systems are increasingly networked together and coupled with the physical world. At the same time, many of them — from robots, autonomous vehicles, to industrial control systems — are capable of carrying out complex tasks in an autonomous manner. This research area focuses on the design, implementation, analysis, and evaluation of various types of networked and autonomous systems. It encompasses computer architecture, operating systems, networks, embedded and real-time systems, distributed systems, and robotics.
