The International Conference on Technology and Design (ICTD) is a joint effort with SUTD and ZJU. The objective of ICTD is to congregate world-renowned higher education institution and leading industry organizations to discuss the current situation, challenges and advancements relating to the rapid emergence and fusion of technology and design.

The annual ICTD is co-hosted by SUTD and ZJU, which has been held alternatively between Singapore and Hangzhou, China since 2019. In the past few years, ICTD has become a platform for global academics, business leaders and Industry practitioners to communicate and exchange ideas and thoughts about Technology and Design on various themes over the years.

DesignZ organized ICTD 2022 lead by Mr Feng Yang, manager for SUTD-ZJU Collaboration. The event is a 3 days virtual event with Keynote speakers and panel discussions on topics such as Sustainable Smart Cities and Sustainable Future driven by Technology and Design.

SUTD is honoured to be hosting this year’s SkillsFuture Festival@IHLs. SkillsFuture Festival 2022, organized by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) celebrates lifelong learning and skills mastery through key events such as the SkillsFuture Festival Forum, SkillsFuture Festival@IHLs and SkillsFuture Festival Enterprise Series. Companies will share insights and learn from thought leaders on how they can prepare for the future economy and gain a competitive edge by harnessing technology and building a pool of skilled workers. DesignZ have been assigned as the organizing committee from SUTD.

The event was a one-day affair, starting in the morning with Minister of State Ms Gan Siow Huang opening the event for us. Following that, there were 2 keynote speeches: Mr Greg Unsworth, Risk Assurance and Digital Business Leader, PwC Singapore, who spoke on the Design for Future Economy and Mr Jason Goh, Design Director – Site Lead Dell Experience Design Group Singapore, Dell Technologies, who touched on Design and Digital Literacy.

The afternoon activities consisted of 53 breakout activities grouped according to the 7 Economic Clusters of Future Economy Council (FEC) and a segment at our Campus Centre for Project and CET showcases.

The event was participated by over 6000 people (physically and online).

Themed Expanding Green Buildings and Implementing the ‘Dual-Carbon Strategy, the 18th International Conference on Green Building and Building Energy Efficiency 2022 was held in Shenyang, Beijing and Shenzhen in China concurrently on the morning of 12th July 2022.

The conference was jointly sponsored by the China Urban Science Research Association, the Shenyang Municipal People’s Government, and the Green Building and Energy Conservation Professional Committee of the China Urban Science Research Association.
