Things to Note

Dress code

The dress code for the event is shirt and tie for men and equivalent for ladies.
Mask-wearing will be optional for Commencement 2023.

Arrival

Only guests with a valid e-Registration QR Code will be allowed to enter the event venue.

The official start time for the Commencement Ceremony is 10.30am. Guests are advised to arrive at the SUTD Auditorium at least one hour earlier. All guests are required to be seated at least 20 minutes before the ceremony start time. Doors will be closed once the ceremony has officially started and latecomers will not be admitted.

e-Registration QR Codes are required for admission - one code admits only one guest. A link and redemption code for guest e-Registration will be sent to the graduand by email nearer the date.

*Alternatively, guests may also view the live webcast of the ceremony online. The live webcast link will be provided nearer the date.

Out of courtesy to other guests, children below the age of six will not be admitted to the ceremony.

During the ceremony

Guests will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservation of seats is allowed.

Guests are to remain in their seats and refrain from leaving the Auditorium during the ceremony.
 
Professional photographers have been engaged to capture the ceremonies and presentation of degrees to every graduand. Guests should not be moving around the Auditorium to take photographs as this will interrupt the flow of the ceremony.

End of ceremony

Please follow the ushers’ instructions to exit the Auditorium.

All graduands and guests are invited to a reception at the Campus Centre after the ceremony.
