Why Baby Shark Fund

You will receive:

  • S$6,000 grant money

  • Access to venture partners' mentorship and support

  • ​Accelerated support to help deploy your idea with corporate partners in Singapore and beyond

  • Accelerated consideration for other SUTD VIE programmes and grants

Tips: Grant money will be disbursed over two tranches in 6 months
3Who

Who can apply

  • A team of 2 to 5 members

  • At least 2 members must be current SUTD undergraduate or master students

Tips: At least 2 members must not have participated in 3 or more pitches before

How to apply

Pitch your projects:

  • under the SUTD VIE Programmes; or 

  • at open pitching platforms

Tips: Open pitching platforms happen every July and December.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all my team members have to be from SUTD?

No, but each team will have to satisfy the criteria of minimum 2 team members who are either current SUTD undergraduate or master students at least 6 months from graduation.

How many times can my team pitch for the grant?

As many as you like! However, each successful pitch will have a different set of milestones attached to each award to help push your project development forward.

Can I use the same idea for all the grants?

Definitely! However, each successful pitch will have a different set of milestones attached to each award to help push your project development forward.

Can we have grants that overlap each other?

No, you should only hold onto 1 grant at any one time.

Who are our assigned mentor(s) and how will we work with them?

You will be working with your assigned venture partner from SUTD for the development at the initial stages of the project to ensure progress of the project. Once ready, we will introduce you to mentors who can support your project’s next stage of development.
