Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Whatsapp Ms Cecilia Tan Vice President, Global Government Relations and Public Policy, P&G Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa Cecilia Tan is Vice President of Global Government Relations Public Policy (Asia Pacific, Middle East Africa) for the Procter & Gamble Company and is based in Singapore. She has worked in P&G for over 15 years. Cecilia graduated from National University of Singapore and started her career in 1996 at JTC Corporation, a Singaporean state owned real estate company and statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. She was a specialist in lease management and marketing of industrial and business space to investors in the aerospace and petrochemical industries. In 2001, she was seconded to Ascendas, a subsidiary of JTC Corporation and Asia's leading provider of sustainable urban solutions, as a business planning manager, based out of Shanghai. She led the development of the business space solutions for customers setting up their operations in China. In 2004, Cecilia joined Procter & Gamble in Singapore as Asia Real Estate Portfolio Manager and over the first 8 years, she has assumed roles with increasing responsibilities including leading regional and global virtual teams, working directly with management, strategic partners and government agencies. In 2013, she moved to Government Relations and was appointed Associate-Director, working with a team of professionals who work in partnership with P&G business leaders in the Asia Pacific region. Her scope of responsibility was expanded to include Middle East & Africa in 2020. In this capacity, she is responsible for protecting and growing P&G’s business through strategy and advocacy in the areas of legislation, regulation and public policy. She also works directly with senior P&G business executives to proactively create win-win partnerships with government stakeholders, external thought leaders and organisations such as the Ministry of Defence Singapore Economic Development Board, A*STAR, JTC, Enterprise Singapore, US-ASEAN Business Council, US-INDIA Business Council, South West CDC, Special Olympics Singapore and AmCham Singapore. Cecilia is a strong advocate for talent development and she is passionate to inspire talents to constantly pursue possibilities and reinvention. She started the P&G Singaporean Network to curate a programme to give Singaporean talents opportunities to reshape themselves with the soft skills and knowledge required to take on corporate leadership roles. She is married and has a daughter.
