Mr Dennis Ling

As Senior Director, Innovation & Enterprise at SUTD, Dennis helps to drive industry engagement and collaborations as well as the translation of Intellectual Property (IP) into commercial products and services at the University. He was previously Executive Director (Innovation & Enterprise) at A*STAR, overseeing industry development activities of the physical sciences and engineering industry clusters.
 
Before A*STAR, Dennis was the head of American consultancy ICF International Inc’s Asia Pacific aviation management consulting practice in Singapore, which he helped to establish in 2009. Dennis was also with Singapore Airlines (SIA) in various roles, one of which was in cabin product development for the Airbus A380 and holds a US patent for a reading light invention, and served a stint managing the airline’s office in Cape Town, South Africa.
 
Dennis also has experience in the telco industry with StarHub Mobile as part of the launch team, co-founded WeMobile.com and pioneered SIM Toolkit at Gemplus (now part of Thales). He started his career at the EDB, a role he took on immediately upon graduation.
 
Dennis possesses a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic and Computer Engineering (First Class Honours) from the University of Leeds, and an MBA from Imperial College Business School, London, the United Kingdom and recently completed the General Management Programme (GMP) at Harvard Business School in 2022.
