Higher education providers play an increasingly critical role in social and economic prosperity across the globe. In a changing and uncertain world, there is a growing emphasis on a more data informed approach to planning, the execution of strategic choice and realisation of opportunity.

Today, higher education institutions around the world are comprehensively advancing the next generation of technology to support strategic planning and data driven decision making. But, do we have the right skills, capabilities, systems and processes to make the most of this future – and do we know what success in this increasingly technological world looks like?

On this foundation, the theme for the 2019 HEPA forum is:

Through the Generation Next theme, the forum will explore a range of aspects in regard to the knowledge and skills needed to work with data analytics tools, how to draw out meaningful information be it on space, enrolment, strategic planning, data visualisation, forecasting models, data governance issues and rankings.
