The SUTD Academy provides skill-based healthcare-related education and training for entry-level jobseekers, mid-career professionals, executives, senior managers and clinicians to ensure they stay tech-relevant.​

The healthcare sector produces vast amounts of data that hold the potential to enhance patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery. Healthcare professionals need to upskill and reskill in data science to stay abreast of the rapidly evolving digital economy and provide high-quality patient care. To address this need, SUTD Academy and Changi General Hospital (CGH) collaborated to design a programme in Data Science for Healthcare sector that incorporates real-life case studies, building upon the courses offered by Modular Master in Data Science.


This programme offers healthcare professionals up to 12 courses to choose from, specifically designed to provide healthcare professionals with the necessary skills to analyse data effectively and make data-driven decisions. The lessons are jointly conducted by both SUTD faculty and SingHealth clinicians, who possess extensive knowledge and experience in data science and analytics, for professionals from the healthcare industry.


To introduce learners to the world of data science, a one-day introductory course was curated. The course took place at the CGH premises in October 2022, and it had a good turnout, with 40 participants enrolled. The course was well-received, and the high satisfaction rate is an indication that the course was engaging, informative, and met the participants' expectations.

The Master of Science in Technology and Design (HealthTech Innovation) programme is dedicated to its mission of preparing students with a diverse skillset and competence that cuts across various disciplines. By equipping students with the capabilities to leverage technology and design principles, the programme aims to facilitate revolutionary progress within the healthcare industry.
