STEAMunity: A community-centric STEAM x DAI programme

A Science Centre x SUTD Collaboration

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), in partnership with Science Centre Singapore, and supported by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the National Research Foundation (NRF), is excited to introduce STEAMunity, a community-centric programme that inspires students to solve real-world problems by empowering them with the interdisciplinary skillsets of STEAM x DAI¹.

OUR VISION

To inspire our youth to become the next generation of Design x Technology Innovators who will contribute to a happier, more sustainable, more inclusive and connected Singapore.

STEAMunity brings together students from different schools and diverse backgrounds to collaborate and deliver solutions for community challenges. The hands-on, peer learning experience will be complemented by guidance from trained and professional mentors. Each student team will be accompanied by dedicated SUTD student mentors/advisors, with strong support from Temasek Polytechnic (our key Institute of Higher Learning partner), you will work closely with

• community stakeholders;
• industry partners; and
• Design x Technology Innovators from SUTD's DesignZ, who will coach, facilitate peer learning, and inspire teams to realise your projects.
