SUTD and ONG&ONG Establish AiR Studio

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and ONG&ONG Group (ONG&ONG) will establish an Architect-in-Residence (AiR) Studio and the Architect-in-Residence Programme. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between both parties on 17 March 2020, at SUTD.

This partnership allows SUTD to tap on the professional expertise of ONG&ONG and will see more research collaboration projects between the two parties.

With the AiR Studio located on the SUTD Campus, SUTD Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD) students will be given more regular exposure and easier access to an architecture practice. Students will also have opportunities for internships with ONG&ONG.

In addition to collaborative research projects with SUTD teaching faculty, ONG&ONG will also be sponsoring and mentoring students’ Capstone Projects for the next 5 years.

The AiR team led by Mr Andrew Lee of ONG&ONG, is currently teaching the Architecture Core Studio 3 module with Assistant Professor Peter Ortner.
