A new scholarship by the Education Ministry, which targets pre-university students, aims to build a strong pipeline of talent in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). As part of the programme which starts next year, successful candidates will be given hands-on STEM training to solve real-world challenges. Education Minister Chan Chun Sing said having such specialised knowledge will ensure Singapore continues to be integrated with the world.
