RoboRoarZ, Singapore’s first reconfigurable robotics competition, took place over two days, 29 and 30 April 2023 at the Singapore University of Technology and Design.

90 students from 19 schools participated in this nationwide competition to redesign a reconfigurable robot to navigate a designated space, while ensuring maximum area covered in the deployed space.

RoboRoarZ seeks to establish a vibrant international robotics community through the use of reconfigurable robots in solving real-world challenges.

This competition was led by SUTD and the National Robotics Programme. Assoc Prof Mohan Elara, the organising chair for the competition, and EPD student Manimaran Maathavan were interviewed by Seithi.
