Requirements

There is one intake for the MTD (IC Design, Failure Analysis and Reliability) programme each year in September.

Admission Criteria

• At least a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline;

• Students whose language of instruction during undergraduate study is not English are required to present TOEFL-iBT (min. 90) or IELTS Academic (min. 6.0) score report;

• Interested candidates with undergraduate degrees in an unrelated discipline may be considered on a case-by-case basis*;

• Related job experiences will be considered for admission.

Note: TOEFL / IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date and should not have expired at the point of application. Expired scores will not be considered for the application.
* Applicants without a relevant degree can submit a resumé or portfolio highlighting your skills, abilities and experiences to augment your application.

All applications will be reviewed by the MTD admissions committee and their decision will be final.

Graduation Requirements

Students must obtain a minimum of 96 credits and meet the minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.5 (out of 5.0) to be awarded SUTD’s Master of Science in Technology and Design (IC Design, Failure Analysis and Reliability) degree.
 
The minimum candidacy for the full-time MTD programme is one year. Extensions will only be granted under exceptional circumstances. Currently, the MTD programme is not offered on a part-time basis.
