Programme Outline

Module 1: A Design Centric Pedagogy

Gain new insights of design as an important pedagogic tool.
See how design processes and methodologies can be blended into fundamental engineering subjects.

Module 2: Teaching Innovation

Learn how:

To enhance learning experiences through technology-enabled teaching
Design and develop strategies to include sustainability in education
Integrate the humanities, arts and social sciences with technology and design in interdisciplinary educational practices
Develop teacherless, peer-to-peer learning model

Module 3: Design Thinking in Action

Participate in a highly interactive, hands-on team-based workshop applying SUTD’s design thinking methodology in curriculum development.

Guided by experienced faculty facilitators, learn how the four phases of the design thinking process are applied in education.

Includes all course materials, use of specific SUTD facilities, all weekday lunches, 2 dinners and visits organised by SUTD for the 2 weeks.
